The lacrosse field was always my sanctuary. Then I took a yoga class, and very soon my mat became my sanctuary as well. No matter how often or how long it was between being on my mat, it always feels like coming home. After being a student for years, I took my 250 Yoga Teacher Training after returning to work following my first mat leave. It was a dream of mine for some time and I made it into a reality. I have dreams to deepen my teacher training, but after having 2 more kids (at the same time… yes, twins!!) life got a little hectic to say the least! I sit all day at work and I chase all day when I am at home, and yoga gives me whatever it may be that I need when I step on my mat. Some days it is a challenge, others it’s an opportunity to slow down, play with a new pose or find some quiet. As a teacher, I hope to offer to others what I have found on my mat - know that wherever my practice may take me that day, I always belong.

Hailing from India, which is the birthplace of Yoga, I have been practicing Yoga since my childhood.
However, Life happens and after a long break, I started my Yoga journey again primarily during my
postpartum recovery and since then, it has become a way of life for me. I believe, Yoga is
transformative, rewarding and it endows magical results when it comes to healing mind & body.
My teaching style is mainly rooted in Hatha and Ashtanga postures, focusing on spine flexibility, strong
back & core as well as finer mobility.
I believe the benefits of Yoga are not limited to the ones mentioned above, it has the power to cure

Swaati’s parents immigrated from India years before she was born and they continued to keep their Indian culture and spiritualism alive throughout her life. What the Western world regarded as “yoga,” was culture, spiritualism and practices entertwined and infused in every day life for Swaati before practicing asana or entering a yoga studio.
She has always had a passion and interest in healthy living. After the birth of her two children, she came to understand the importance of care needed for her post-baby body and mind, and started practicing asana regularly. She knew her exercise and yoga practice needed to fit her health needs, but didn’t always know how.
When Swaati started teaching yoga, she realized yoga for pelvic health was what she needed and where she wanted to be!
She takes pleasure in helping her students gain confidence in movement and practice movement that eases their discomfort. Swaati is a lifelong student of pelvic health, yoga and the impact of the two on our mental and physical health.
